Iceberg

Another view of a beautiful iceberg which was caught in a cove in Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, Canada.

I visited the iceberg by boat twice, a week apart, and was able to sail right round the iceberg both times, seeing how different it looked from different angles, and how much it had melted by my second visit.

The area of eastern Canada from the mainland coast of Labrador to the southeast of Newfoundland is known as ‘Iceberg Alley’ because of the regularity of seeing icebergs from these areas. The season for seeing icebergs varies throughout the alley, with early July being the end of the ‘season’ in this area, so I was lucky to see this one so well.
