Loldia House, Lake Naivasha | |||||

In 2002, we stayed at Loldia House on Lake Naivasha. This is run by the Governor's group. Loldia House has lovely accommodations (this was our bedroom) and a wide range of activities to choose from, including walks in the estate guided by a naturalist, for birds, plants and mammals, boat trips on the Lake, night drives, trips to Lakes Nakuru, Bogoria or Hell's Gate, visit to Crater Lake sanctuary and visits to a local primary school, which guests at the house may choose to support. | ||||
| The extensive gardens lead down to the lake, and when the weather permits, breakfast and lunch can be taken on the lawn, watching the wildlife. Delicious dinners, hosted by the Manager, Peter, are served en famille in the dining room, and there is also a well-stocked sitting/reading room. The house is furnished in colonial style throughout. There is also a little shop. |
