Visit to India: Introduction

In December 1995 - January 1996, we visited northern India on a birding and wildlife tour, combined with a little culture.
Our main hope on the trip was to see Royal Bengal Tiger - but we were well aware that this is not guaranteed, even at Ranthambhor.
